Santo Domingo.- since Dominican Republic regained the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Category One status, the lack pilots in the country has formed airlines to contract foreign pilots for international flights.
The affirmation is from Pedro Domínguez, head of the Dominican Pilots Association. He said that the demand is higher than the supply as there aren’t enough pilots to meet it.
Dominguez’s statement comes just months before the country’s only airline, Air Dominicana, is scheduled to begin flight operations to Europe.
