Punta Cana Princess

Punta Cana Princess

A description from Jan Ross from Travel Authority Blog

I just spent a few days in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, visiting several different resorts with the wonderful Vacation Express folks, and the only problem I am left with after days spent enjoying the beautiful beach, lounging by gorgeous pools, and eating wonderful food is this.
Which fabulous resort do I write about first?

It’s quite the quandary.

Each one was more spectacular than the last, with everything from a pirate ship in the lagoon at one resort to plunge pools on palm tree shaded patios at another. Not to mention the fabulous beaches licked by the clear turquoise ocean at even more. But then I realized it wasn’t that hard after all.

Because I really did have a favorite. A sentimental favorite. The one resort I had visited before. The one resort that looked exactly, comfortingly, the same and reminded me of a wonderful visit my daughter and I made to Punta Cana several years ago. The lovely Punta CanaPrincess. What a wonderful place! Well. Look, you can see just what I mean in this video.

With 263 luxury suites and 7 wonderful honeymoon suites, this slightly smaller, adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches in this area. Pull up to the PuntaCana Princess sign,

enter the lovely open, Caribbean-style lobby and you will feel yourself beginning to unwind. Your vacation has truly begun.
Walk out of the lobby towards the beautiful, tropical-colored buildings but wait. Look out there at that fabulous beach. Now look closer at that clear turquoise water. Time to get in your bathing suit and really begin to enjoy this vacation.

So, head to your room in one of these lovely buildings.

Open that door with the whimsical seahorse decoration and come on into your lovely suite.
The Punta Cana Princess has beautiful suites, with a lovely bathroom, bedroom area and a step-down living room with a seating area. Just walk through this area to your balcony, just the right size to sit on and watch the sunset before you head to dinner at one of the five fantastic restaurants. Each suite has a ceiling fan, Internet access, cable TV, a minibar which is kept fully stocked and 24-hour room service. You can also relax every evening in your bathrobe and slippers (one per person) and enjoy your turndown service.

The honeymoon suites also have a huge jacuzzi in the room. All the rooms also include several amenities, such as:
- Basket of fruit on arrival
- 1 bottle of rum
- 1 Swedish massage for 20 minutes (per person per week)
- 1 romantic massage for 20 minutes (per person per week)
- 1 breakfast in room (per person per week)
- 1 romantic dinner, customers select one of the Punta Cana Princess restaurants (per person per week) 1 gourmet dinner at La Cava or ElPescador restaurants (per person per week)
- Private classes in Merengue and Spanish.

You can even expect extra special touches, like finding a heart made especially for you on your bed for that special occasion.

The pool at the Punta Cana Princess is clear, lovely and huge. Grab the beach bag provided in your suite, swim up to the bar and order that PinaColada. Then relax poolside and think about just how smart you were to book with The Travel Authority and Vacation Express.

Once you have enjoyed the gorgeous tropical sunset, it’s time to head to dinner and you have a real variety at the Punta Cana Princess. You can choose from the main buffet,a Trattoria,a Mediterranean restaurant, a Tex Mex steakhouse, Il Bacio, an Italian restaurant, and a Swiss restaurant. There is also a typical Dominican buffet in the beach area on Saturday nights with a party and other entertainment.
I had some of the best salmon I have ever eaten at the Italian restaurant here, as well as some of the best service I have ever experienced. The chicken dinner I was served was not nearly as good as my daughter’s salmon and, when requested, they quickly whisked away my chicken and served the buttery and quite delicious salmon. But, speaking of dinner, you are not limited to only five restaurants and a snack bar at this resort because you also have access to the restaurants at the Caribe Club Princess and the Tropical Princess hotels as well.
Ready for a late night after that wonderful meal? You can participate in the night life at the sister resorts. Make sure to attend the shows in the La Rumba and Serenata Theatre (located in the Caribe Club Princess and Tropical Princess Hotels), and visit the casino at the famous Casino Princess Tower situated in the Bavaro Princess. So, you pay for one resort, but actually have access to three. Quite a deal!

As I mentioned above, a 20-minute massage is included in your all-inclusive package. My daughter and I took full advantage of this offer and added to it so we could enjoy several hours at the spa. I totally recommend this wonderful experience!

So. The beautiful beach and pool, a gorgeous room, fabulous food and a relaxing and wonderful spa. What more could you ask of a resort? If this sounds like the perfect getaway for you, just stop by your local office ofThe Travel Authority or call 1.877.AXP.1515 and tell them you want to book the Punta Cana Princess with Vacation Express. And let me know what you think. I’m truly interested!
Safe travel!

Dominican Republic-Inexhaustible!

By far the best I’ve seen so far.    I’ve seen many videos of the Dominican Republic, however, this one blows the rest out of the water.  The department of tourism truly accomplished their goal here.  It makes you want to call your airline, hop on a plane , and enjoy this paradise.  Just beautiful!
