For unknown reasons French Angelfish (Pomacanthus paru) don’t like our dive spots to much, you can see them occasionally, but not on every dive site.
French Angelfish like shallow coral reefs usually less the 15 feet (4.5 m) deep with natural shelters protecting them from nocturnal predators. They are living in pairs and are very territorial. Their reproduction spawning is usually in early mornings from April through September. They often interbreed with other Angelfish species producing hybrids sharing different markings…
SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (March 13, 2009) -
Two UH-1 Iroquois helicopters swoop onto a building rooftop, kicking dust and debris up into the air, at Ciudad Del Niño during a day of training in March. The new cave we discovered in January is beautifull. Since not too many people know about it, the cave is still untouched, not damaged yet by anybody.
We met a great couple from Sweden and were teaching them to scuba dive. Some people want to take the course but don’t feel comfortable with all the new equipment on and lots of new things to do while under water. We make sure that they are introduced to the new environment slowly and safely.
After the first ocean dive everything was getting…
Trip to Saona Island, Mangroves and Piscina Natural is probably the most popular right now. We met a wonderful family from Santo Domingo with their Italian friends and had a great Saturday trip to our favorite spots.
The weather was great, kids had fun and everybody was tired that didn’t even want to go snorkeling to Bayahibe Bay at the end of the trip. Well next time.
And we had a new captain!!!! Captain Owen, come back soon:)

The diving and snorkeling trip on this beautiful Sunday, was probably the best trip ever.
We went for a dive to Tortuga, hoping to see again the nurse sharks that live there. I guess they went for a weekend trip too and we didn’t see any. The visibility was great, so even we didn’t see the sharks on this dive, we saw lots of big stingrays that were very friendly and let us watch them from a very close…

Anybody who goes to El Macao beach for the first time is surprised by the magnificent and breathtaking view. Just as you come over the hill a beautiful beach comes out of nowhere and so far everybody we took…

They wanted to have a nice day on the boat, so we took them to Saona Island, then to our favorite place Piscina Natural and they all loved it too as you can see from the pictures. They enjoyed the clear blue water of…
